Principal's Message

Parents, we know these are trying times. On rare occasions, Orange County Public Schools may need to close schools due to health, weather or another safety emergency. In the event of a long term closure where students do not report to school, the district will engage in distance learning with students and staff. OCPS will make every effort to ensure that instructional continuity is not disrupted by continuing to provide educational opportunities at home using all available district resources to engage in distance learning.

April 3 - Second Distance Learning Packet Pick up, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Car Loop

OCPS Schools will be closed through May 1st

Grab-and-Go meals  - The closest sites to West Oaks are Pine Hills Elementary and Frangus Elementary. Meals will be available for pick-up between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the car loop of those schools. Students must be present to receive the meals. District staff will distribute the meals directly to those in their vehicle (drive-thru service). Meals will be given directly to any students walking and/or riding a bike. Based on recommendations from our federal and state leaders, all meals should be taken home to eat.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. If you have any questions regarding the work packets, feel free to email your child's teacher, or call us at 407-532-3875. We are all in this together.
